Nurturing Parents-Mindfulness-based Parent Wellbeing, is an 8 session mindfulness programme that has been developed to be relevant and accessible to busy parents. With its emphasis on self nurture, the programme aims to help parents make a transformational shift towards self care. This transformation opens the way to better availability for authentic connection with ourselves and our children. We know that authentic connection or attunement is a vital part of supporting children's' healthy development. Yet sometimes, the very goals and aspirations we have for our children and ourselves as parents can create stress and interfere with our ability for good connections. When we are stressed we are not available for connection to our kids, our partners or even to ourselves. Mindfulness helps us recognise and manage the stresses of parenting and to understand the importance of self nurture to cultivate the very connections we long for and that we know are nurturing for our children..
